On his first EP for Tenderpark Marquese proves to be a master of using his means. With only a few, but purposefully used elements with interesting modulations Marquese creates two lean House tracks which nonetheless feel very round and harmonious. Beautiful chords, subtle vocals and a powerful beat and bass fundament turn „Mindshake“ and „Twool“ into two deep House affairs which skilfully combine modernity and classicism.
Drei Farben House brings us Soul with smooth textures and softly shining tones. „Crew Neck“ is a round House affair with Disco and Soul references while „Sartorial Realism“ comes with an equally funky beat costume as well as classic House chords and heavenly female vocals.
With YNK Tenderpark has signed an exciting newcomer who exposes us to a real firework of drum variations with his live recorded grooves. The “Twist ‘n’ Shuffle EP” comes with three marvellous House tracks including a stunning vocal appearance and a lot of warm oldschool feeling.
| Tenderpark celebrates the start of the vinyl only label with John Roberts who is about to release his stunning debut album full of uniquely shimmering Deephouse on Dial. His DJ sets are awash with bumping Chicago and New York House from the 90s, mixed with his own stunning productions.
He is joined by Baaz who has made himself a name for his deep but still dry and funky House tracks on Sthlmaudio and Quintessentials. The DJ skills of Hip Hop lovin’ Baaz are just as impressive as his tasteful selection of new and old House goodies. Drei Farben House loves to blend in some unreleased dubplates of his new tracks. Tonight he completes the party with stripped-down House and as well as some thrilling excursions into deeper territories. |
